One company, every check from the playbook, real command output. Including the one that comes back bad.
Brightline Payroll is invented. It is not a client and it is not a real business. The company, its handle and its numbers are made up so the method can be shown without exposing anybody. Every command below is real and you can run it against your own handle. The outputs shown for LinkedIn's own behaviour are real. The outputs specific to Brightline are illustrative.
TasteThis is the most common shape we see. Consistent effort, no map of where the effort lands.
8,900 words returned.
ReceiptThe comparison figure from the playbook, taken from a real public profile, was 9,405 words. Anything in the thousands means the door is open. A few hundred words means the profile is not public and everything else is wasted.

This is the check that fails, and it is the reason the audit was worth running.
ReceiptThe cause is not the writing. Brightline shares every post to their newsletter and their site using the link LinkedIn offers first, which is the feed address. LinkedIn's rules file blocks Google from that address. So every link they ever circulated pointed at the one version of their post that Google is not allowed to read.
The fix costs nothing and starts working on the next post. Open the post, click its timestamp, and copy that address instead. It contains /posts/. Circulate that one. The old posts stay where they are, but everything from here is readable.
TasteWe built this template with a failing check on purpose. An example where everything passes teaches you nothing about what to do when something does not.
User-agent: GPTBotDisallow: /ReceiptThis is real output from LinkedIn's live rules file on 4 September 2026, not an illustration. The same single line applies to ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, CCBot and nine others.
What Brightline should conclude. Stop trying to feed the model. Start being findable at the moment somebody asks a question, because the look it up robots are allowed in and they are the ones that matter here.
Brightline's last three posts opened like this. The address LinkedIn built from each one is underneath.
| Opening line | The address it created | Verdict |
|---|---|---|
| Happy Friday everyone! | happy-friday-everyone-activity-... | Wasted |
| Quick thought on something I saw this week | quick-thought-something-saw-this-week-activity-... | Wasted |
| Multi state payroll tax filing is where most 50 person companies get caught | multi-state-payroll-tax-filing-where-most-50-person-activity-... | Working |
/posts/famouscampaigns_the-difference-between-sales-and-marketing-activity-7136323052727857155-6DId.Two of three opening lines were spent on nothing. The writing underneath them may have been excellent. The address does not know that.
| Move | Why, from the checks above | Effort |
|---|---|---|
| Share using the /posts/ link from now on | Check two returned zero. This is the cause. | 10 seconds a post |
| Rewrite the opening line of every post | Check four. Two of three were spent on greetings. | Already writing anyway |
| Publish one article: how multi state payroll tax filing works | The question they want to own needs a permanent address. | 90 minutes |
| Rewrite the first two lines of the about section | No description tag exists, so Google writes the summary from this. | 15 minutes |
| Stop posting in groups | Closed to every reader. It was never going to work. | Saves time |
TasteFour of these five cost almost nothing and none of them require posting more often. The constraint was never volume.
Re-run check two in ninety days. If it still returns zero, something else is wrong and it is worth looking again rather than posting harder.
Counted from this page as it loads. Brightline Payroll is an invented company.
